Abstract:
The objective of this research is to examine the units of digital currency that are part of bitcoin and its introduction to the foundations of different economic system .It has given examples by referring to litterature that is going to be a perceptive for following researches in terms of dealing with the historical background,explanations,comparing bitcoin to other means of payments,its pros&cons,bitcoin and other similiar digital currencies.Lastly,the current situation which is related to the subject is assessed both in the world and in Turkey.
