Abstract:
This article provides a comprehensive and systematic analysis of the work of Memar Ajami Abubakr oglu Nakhchivani, a prominent representative of 12th-century Azerbaijani architecture within the context of Azerbaijani and Pan-Turkic architecture. The main aim of the study is to identify the stylistic, constructive, and conceptual characteristics of the Nakhchivani architectural school founded by Memar Ajami, as well as to reveal the regional and transregional influence mechanisms of this work within the traditions of Turkish-Islamic architecture. The research employs historical-chronological, comparative typological, formal-analytical, and cultural-contextual methods. The study concludes that Memar Ajami’s architectural legacy not only represents a turning point in the development of Azerbaijani architecture but also played a significant role in shaping Pan-Turkic architectural thought.
